Zooming in – scrutinizing FSW performance for automotive joints

                                                                                 10.12.2024

Stir4Steels chooses traditionally welding process: SPR (Self pierce riveting) and FEW (Friction Element Welding) to compare global mechanical properties of these two reference processes with developed FSW and RFSSW welding technologies. In addition to systematic mechanical properties characterizations e.g. also shear tests were carried out to gain comprehensive new insights on FSW performance for automotive joints. For more details check out D5.1. on the Stir4steel website.
