Stirtec GmbH is a leading high-tech company in the field of Friction Stir Welding (FSW), located in Premstätten, Styria (Austria). Successful Dissemination of Project Results

On February 27, 2025, the final workshop of the EU project STIR4STEEL took place under the title
“Innovations in Friction Stir Welding”
in a hybrid format with over 40 participants. The event was hosted by the coordinator STIRTEC GmbH in Kalsdorf, Austria.
The focus of the workshop was on the dissemination of the knowledge gained during the project, particularly regarding the developed technology demonstrators and their industrialization potential. Representatives of the project partners HEREON, CRF, ARITEX, i2m, SIDENOR, and STIRTEC presented and moderated the results related to Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding (RFSSW) and were available for open discussion.
